Exclusive Access to King's Private Apartments: Guided Tour with Palace of Versailles Tickets

The smaller group was excellent plus the fact that there was no waiting in line. It was fantastic not to be squashed in with loads of other people. Our tour guide was excellent and super friendly. 100% happy that I booked this tour 🥰

Well organised and very knowledgeable guide. Having the ear piece was fabulous as we didn't miss a thing. What a stunning building the palace is.

Everything was very well organized including the booking process and directions. Our guide led us through the royal private chambers with nice anecdotes and very competently. The group size of max. 25 was ideal. We would book this type of tour at any time and not just for Versailles. This tour is also particularly suitable for children. Our two were 10 years old and loved it! Thanks to the whole Headout team and keep up the good work!

The experience was very nice, everything was handled in an orderly and professional manner, and I especially wanted to thank the French lady who was our guide, a very nice and helpful person whose name I unfortunately cannot remember. In any case, it is an experience that I recommend!

Good tour guide, told a lot of information about life at the court. She also knew a lot to tell about the castle itself.

I was surprised to learn our your guide was a PhD in history with vast knowledge in any questions that were raised. She seemed eager to tell stories and really made the experience far more meaningful than walking through the palace alone.

The information we received was good and the group size was also good. Visiting these rooms gives a good idea of the life of the court around the kings in the 18th century. Very nice to see.

It was possible to enter rooms where only a few can enter. In addition, the guide told a lot of interesting facts about the Palace of Versailles and its former inhabitants.

Everything went very smoothly and the meeting point was easy to find. We skipped the queue and were immediately in the palace and had a great tour away from the crowds. The highlight was the opera, which is rarely accessible. After the tour of the private rooms, we were also able to visit the rest of the Palace of Versailles. Great and well worth the extra €20.

Very nice guide 'Prune' no boring history stories but really as the kings lived ! Versailles is extremely crowded (read traffic jam shuffling past the sights) so we were very happy with the private tour where we avoided all this !

The guide was very experienced and spoke very clear English. I did not like the way the group met. Until we found the group we walked from one gate to another.

Ho prenotato questo tour un po' per caso, preso dalla disperazione di aver visto terminati i biglietti di accesso alla visita del palazzo di Versailles. Ero scettico dovuto al prezzo quasi doppio rispetto all'accesso al palazzo, tuttavia mi sono presto ricreduto in quanto il tutto comprendeva sia l'accesso tradizionale, sia l'accesso alle stanze private spiegate da una guida professionale! The tour was very nice and we got to see the top floors of the king's apartment . The guide was very friendly and the whole castle is still very preserved . It was extremely fun & I definitely recommend going there and getting the guide . + You get to skip the lines . <°{}°>

We tried to buy the €20 tickets but they were sold out so had to buy the €40 tickets for the guided tour of the King's Apartments. We were 25 mins early and stood in the 10.30 queue. Our tickets were checked by a staff member whilst we were in the long queue and we continued to wait. When we reached the front, the staff member there told us we were in the wrong queue, and sent us over to another part of the Palace. There were no signs to say which was the King's Apartment entrance. This meant we were now 10 minutes late for the guided tour, and someone had to take us through the apartments, to catch up with the rest of the group. The audio guide was excellent and very clear, which was important for me, as I am hearing impaired, and wear hearing aids. After the tour we visited other parts of the Palace, and then tried to enter the gardens. This cost us another €12 each as it was, apparently, a 'musical extravaganza.' This description was laughable, as there were no live musicians, but a continuously repeating recording of the same three pieces of music. We really feel we had a raw deal, since paying the price of €40, the gardens, (which are usually free) should have been included , regardless of your piped recordings. A very disappointing day indeed.

The guide was brilliant, and the tour splendid! The only downside was that the other guides rushed us as we entered the rooms, sometimes showing a lack of politeness towards our young guide.

The guide we had was very good and knew the history of the place perfectly, you could tell she lived and loved history.

The kindness and helpfulness of the lovely guide who was able toput us in the moment at various locations. As someone who needs a stick to walk I found that she was extreme;y courteous and helpful to me. The other staff at Versailles were also very kind and helpful.

The tour gave us more experiences than an ussualy ticket, but also, I consider it should have included Trianon into this price. Versailles is great, prices are huge.
