Royal Palace of Madrid Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

A very enjoyable and interesting visit. I think that there were missing areas of the Palace, which must be very interesting as a library, kitchens .... that can not be visited.

The tour was great the guide vey knowledgeable, location easy to find and conveniently located very close to the palace. He gave us some great suggestion to go see the armory and the jewelry collection.

I opted for this guided tour as the Royal Palace tickets were sold out, so this was the only way I found to visit it - so for that it's GREAT. Of course the price is higher - about 20 euros higher than if I'd been more organized and booked a ticket far enough in advance. The meeting spot was very confusing and unnecessarily hectic - as there were 3 tour groups meeting at the same time and spot, and each group had multiple vendors with whom they worked - so finding MY guide who recognized (finally) MY ticket booking service took AWHILE! Same for most participants. We did not leave the meeting point for 30 minutes after meeting time. Once we got to the palace, we had to wait outside for 20-25 minutes for admittance. The audioguide was difficult to hear - really because of crowds and ambient noise. That combined with the accent of the guide made it very difficult to follow what was being said - It sounded interesting from the bits I could hear, but I really did not leave this tour with much knowledge because too hard to follow guide and no time to stop and read the signage in each room. Doing this again, I would have just bailed on the group once inside and gone at my own pace and read the supplied descriptions in each room. The palace is STUNNING!

Obtaining tickets was easy, Marta the guide was friendly, funny and informative, she explained things very well. A change in our schedule was communicated and handled very well. We appreciate being given her contact number and being on time.

Clear directions to the meeting point. The experienced guide took us on for the one-and-a-half-hour tour. Even in a group, the audio system was effective. Lots of detail in every room. The only downside was that the tour was too fast-paced, leaving us little time to admire the works in the rooms.

Very chaotic at the meeting place and getting headsets, entering the palace. Group too large for single guide to manage.

Excellent tour of the Real Palacio, skip the line a must, tour guide very knowledgeable and helpful, overall had a great experience, would recommend

kindeness of the lady guiding us. We arrived late and she came to pick us at the porters lodge. Then very precise explanations along thre tour.

La visita guidata è stata molto interessante, la guida Pilar è stata molto brava e coinvolgente. L'unica pecca è stata la modifica della prenotazione che avevo fatto. Due giorni prima della visita ho ricevuto una mail in cui mi veniva proposto un nuovo orario per la visita guidata, ho risposto accettando il nuovo orario. Successivamente ho ricevuto una nuova mail in cui mi dicevano che non c'era più posto, quindi avrei dovuto cancellare il tour perdendo quanto avevo già pagato. Ho quindi telefonato in agenzia e concordato per un nuovo orario e nuovo giorno, se non avessi telefonato avrei perso tutto. Questo modo di gestire le penotazioni non mi è piaciuto.

Malgré la foule, la guide a été très bien. Ses explications ont été claires, précises avec un débit de parole parfait pour une compréhension en langue anglaise.

The guide was super - thank you - top marks to Maria. Feedback for the company who runs this service - the sound system caused issues through out the visit - people couldn't hear through the ear piece. It needs an upgrade to make life easier for the guide and the tourists .

Our guide was very pleasant and friendly. However, there was a lot of waiting around before we got into the palace as we were waiting for some people who were not on time. The tour itself felt a bit rushed.

Beautiful place and the guide was excellent. Funny and kind. Only problem, the picture sent via email to show us where to meet was VERY misleading. It showed meeting at the stairs to metro but the guide was in front of Starbucks. Almost missed the tour even though we were 30 minutes early

The guide was well prepared and provided us with several details both on the palace and on the Spanish history. The tour was really well arranged

Better location informtion, we had dificulty finding our guide as was very busy in the square. Felt very rushed during the tour and too many people in the palace at one time. Guide did her best.

Our guide was the best! We learned so much about Spain during this tour. I loved the background we got as we moved through the palace. A truly enjoyable tour !

The staff was very cooperative in finding the best solution for us since our reservation the day before was overbooked.

The meeting up instructions were clear, but it was a big group and took a while to get everyone checked off. Some people were late checking in and this held up everything. The palace was very crowded and it took half an hour to get through the security check and to issue the earpieces and get them to work. The tour was very rushed and we didn't really get time to study the rooms we were walking through. The commentary through the earpieces was very patchy. The guide was good but the transmission kept cutting out. Disappointed with the whole experience.

Excellent tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. Being a part of a small group allows us to see more of the palace quicker. Our guide kept us on time and spoke excellent English.
