The cathedral was closed at the booked time due to an event. A 1-hour wait in the sun and then completely overcrowded, as everyone had to wait beforehand and all the groups had to wait too. We

We had no covering over the shoulders and were not allowed into the cathedral because of this(understandable). Bought a t shirt at the souvenir store around the corner. Once inside the cathedral, 9 out of 10 did not have covered shoulders.

The cathedral is certainly a must-see. In my opinion, the organized visitor groups are too large. There are places in the cathedral where you are "trapped" if a group completely blocks the way. The building fabric and exhibits are definitely worth seeing. The location is a challenge for photographers. The lighting concept is certainly from the last century. Spotlights at every corner and... Perhaps a sponsor can be found ... Photos of the tower are better taken on the ascent and descent. At best, a cell phone lens will fit through the grating on the viewing platform :-) For bell freaks, there is a great selection to marvel at. I've never been to such a well-stocked tower. Have fun marveling!

What made the special was our guide? The lady spoke English perfectly. She was very thorough. Very patient and made sure everyone worked together. I wish we had other guides like her. She was superb.

Your experience

The iconic Seville Cathedral is one of the landmarks of Seville and is one of the largest churches in the world. Adorned in the Gothic and Baroque styles, it has breathtaking vaulted ceilings on the interior. It houses one of the most expensive altarpieces in existence, created by a single craftsman, Pierre Dancart. Don't forget to visit the official tomb of Christopher Columbus in the cathedral.

You will also get a chance to go up the Giralda, the bell tower of the cathedral that stands at 104 meters, which is one of the most important symbols of the city. Spectacular views of the lush Andulasian countryside and Seville can be seen from here, and make for great photo opportunities.

The Church of El Salvador is another lesser-known, albeit equally significant attraction of Seville. Built in the Baroque style, the 17-century wood carvings are a must-see and promise to take your breath away!
